CWG Keeps 435K Pounds of Cell Phone Scrap from Bulging Landfills in 2009
Company has salvaged over 1.6 million pounds of phone scrap since inception in 2006

The company has salvaged over 1.6 million pounds of phone scrap to date, and estimates that it has recovered over 10 million cell phones since its inception three years ago.

The reclamation practices utilized by CWG harvest down to the component level and salvage all reusable materials, such as precious metals, plastics and glass. These materials can then be recycled into things like magnets, stainless steel, car bumpers, park benches, jewelry, dental fillings and musical instruments.
