Canary Wharf’s free open-air cinema and entertainment screens return to Canada Square Park this June.
Summer Screens runs from Thursday 4th June to Tuesday 1st September, visitors can look forward to a curated programme packed with classic films and new releases, some of the summer’s biggest live sport, party-style music quizzes and big-screen gaming competitions.
Film Club
Now a staple of Londoners’ summer calendar, the Wharf’s much-loved Film Club brings a diverse line-up spanning blockbuster hits, cult classics, Bollywood favourites and some of the latest 2026 releases, alongside a host of feel-good crowd-pleasers.
Highlights include Wicked: For Good, Barbie, Mamma Mia and Grease, alongside new releases such as Superman and I Swear, the BAFTA award-winning film about living with Tourette’s.
Weekend mornings will once again be dedicated to family favourites, with films including animated Zootropolis 2, Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Monsters Inc, Wall-E and classic feel-good farm story Babe.
June also brings the long-awaited launch of Sea Lanes Canary Wharf, a 50-metre, six-lane natural water swimming pool floating in the dock, complete with eco-friendly saunas. To celebrate, an aquatic-themed film lineup will feature the multiple Oscar-winning The Shape of Water, the live-action The Little Mermaid and a special screening of British short film Swim Sistas.
The programme will also feature a special National Theatre Live screening of The Playboy of the Western World, bringing the acclaimed stage performance to the big screen.
Summer of Sport
Summer Screens will once again be the go-to destination for live sport, showcasing some of the season’s biggest moments across the warmer months.
Tennis fans can catch daily coverage of the Wimbledon Championships from Monday 29th June to Sunday 12th July, culminating in the Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ Finals across the final weekend.
Key cricket fixtures will also be shown across the season, including the England v New Zealand and England v Pakistan Test Series.
Mario Kart Championships
Back by popular demand, the Mario Kart Championship returns with heats taking place across June, July and August. The winner will be rewarded with great prizes from some of Canary Wharf’s many shops, bars and restaurants.
Sounds Familiar Music Quiz
Sounds Familiar returns, bringing a high energy, party-style music quiz to the Summer Screens line-up.
Visitors can expect a fast-paced mix of indie bangers, old school R&B, chart classics, mashups, power ballads and guilty pleasures, with more than 100 tracks from the 1960s to the present day in one giant interactive quiz experience on the big screen. Tickets are available to purchase here.
Make a Day of it
Set within one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, Canary Wharf offers a mix of culture, entertainment and outdoor experiences, making it a must-visit destination throughout the summer.
Visitors looking to make a day of their trip can explore over 320 shops, bars and restaurants including Barbarella, Roe and Nora, alongside a huge range of activities such as The Cube, GoBoat and Fairgame. With more than 80 cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from, everything is just moments from the screens.
